Dr Nina Politimou completed her PhD at the Music Communication and Cognition Lab under the supervision of Dr Fabia Franco.
Her research explored links between musical and linguistic skills in young preschoolers and investigated the role of the home musical environment in developmental outcomes.
She has recently received funding from the Society of Education and Music Psychology Research (SEMPRE) to extend her research on the associations between the home musical environment and infant language development. She also works as an Associate Lecturer at Birkbeck and Middlesex Universities and has a Senior Teaching Fellow position at the UCL Institute of Education.
